We're already 3 months into 2017 so it may be time to start thinking about those resolutions we made while possibly drunk on bubbly on New Year's Eve. I bet at least one of those resolutions was about adopting a healthier lifestyle, be it via diet or exercise or a combination of both. Let me assure you that it is never too late to kick the bad habits to the curb and start anew. It only takes a few weeks to build a habit and there are a ton of resources that can help you get there.

Since we live in a world dominated by technology and all things internet, why not put that to your advantage and make use of some of the many awesome apps designed to help you succeed? Here's a list of the best apps (in no particular order) to help kickstart a healthier lifestyle.

1. Nike+ Training Camp

The Nike+ Training Club app is the best alternative to attending an actual Nike Training Club. The app contains over 100 workouts and are lead by Nike fitness experts and trainers. Workouts can be customized based on fitness level (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and time (15-60 minutes). Each workout is complete with audio cues, step-by-step pictures and video clips which makes it easy to follow along.

2. Zombies, Run!

This app is for those who do not like to run or get easily bored after a few strides. Complete with creepy music and zombie chase sequences, Zombies, Run! is an interactive app that is guaranteed to immerse you in the story line and running for your life.You can choose from 23 different missions and the audio recordings will guide you through the objectives which include collecting supplies that will come in handy as the workout progresses. MyFitnessPal is one of the best nutrition and fitness tracking apps available. Users can log their meals and track caloric intake with the help of the apps extensive database.MyfitnessPal also provides bar code scanning, nutritional intake estimates and goal tracking. You can add friends, view their journals and track each other's progress.

Workout, eat healthy and get paid is basically what Pact is about. Every week you make a pact that says that you will be more active or eat healthier, and if you complete the it you will be rewarded. However, if you lose you will pay money to other members.Since nobody likes to lose money, this app will get you exercising more and eating more greens in no time.

If you're looking to challenge yourself then C25K is for you. Designed for beginners, this app will get you off the couch and into the world of running with only three 30-40 minutes workouts a week. The 8-week training program starts the user off with simple walk and run intervals until they build up strength to complete a 5k.

6. Charity Miles

If you enjoy helping others, Charity Miles is your chance to make a difference while working out. The app lets you chose a charity and pays you 10 cents a mile for biking and 25 cents for walking and running. The money you earn is in turn donated to your charity pick. The more you exercise, the more money you can earn to donate.
