Weird things happen everyday that we just can't explain.
Science can tell us a lot about the world around us, but there are still things we'll never understand. Even if you don't believe in the paranormal, you'll scratch your head trying to explain just what's happening in these photos.
We've known about some of these weird events for decades, but we still don't understand exactly what happened or why. Maybe that's why these photos are so interesting, if they've been a mystery for so long, there must be something really out of this world about them.
So take a look at this list and see if you can understand what's happening in any of these photos. And be sure to share your answers if you do, because we're stumped!
1. The Brown Lady
One of the world's most famous spirit photographs, this is said to be Lady Dorothy Walpole, who died under mysterious circumstances in 1726. This photo, of course, was taken in 1936. Spooooky!
2. Pyramid On The Moon
This photo from the Apollo 17 mission in 1972 was labeled "blank" by NASA, but when you turn up the exposure this shocking detail is revealed. What do you think this weird shape really is?
3. Freddy Jackson's Last Photograph
This photo show's Freddy Jackson standing with his squadron in World War 1. That's Freddy standing behind another soldier in the blown-up photo on the side. So what's wrong with this photo? Freddy Jackson died two days before it was taken!
4. The Battle of Los Angeles
In 1942 newspapers reported on an air battle above Los Angeles. Suspiciously, later on the event was called a "false alarm" started by a stray weather balloon. Some believe this was really a UFO attack, and the weather balloon explanation is just a cover story.
5. Time Traveling Celebrities?
Are these just innocent coincidences, or evidence of something sinister? You have to admit, the resemblance is uncanny.
6. The White Lady
When Peter Bethelot snapped a picture of his wife Diane in Worstead Church, there was no one sitting behind her. After showing this church's vicar this photo, he explained that the White Lady sometimes appears in the church and heals visitors.
7. Amityville House Photo
This photo was taken at the site of the famous Amityville Horror. It may seem normal at first, but look closely....
8. The Madonna With Saint Giovannino
This is a beautiful work of art, but there's a detail that's confounded people for centuries. What's that in the top right?
What could that possibly be? Many people think this man in the background is staring right at a UFO!
9. The Martian Rock
These two photos were taken by the Martian Opportunity rover 12 days apart. See that rock in the middle? It seems like it moved all on its own, or something moved it...
10. The Poe Toaster
Every year, on the famous writer Edgar Allen Poe's birthday, a man dressed in a hat and scarf pours himself a glass of cognac in front of the writer's tomb, leaving behind three roses for the author. Today a local historical society carries on this tradition, but for seven decades no one knew the identity of the man or men who carried on this tradition.
Since 1967, this picture has inspired people around the world to question what they know about our world. The photographers, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, say they caught this female bigfoot (who they named Patty) on camera just outside of Orleans, California.
12. Guatemalan Stone Head
This photo was taken by a man who owned land in the jungles of Guatemala in the 1950s. After he died, this huge stone sculpture somehow vanished, and it has never been seen since.
13. The Hook Island Sea Monster
French photographer Robert Serrec took this photo of an enormous "tadpole" monster off the coast of Australia. To this day, biologists have failed to identify this frightening creature.
