23 Pictures That Prove Not All Graffiti Is Vandalism

Schools can be pretty boring places, visually. The eggshell colored cinder block walls, combined with the dull ceiling tiles and standard issue classroom doors, sometimes it reminds you more of a prison than a place of higher learning. Really, is a little visual stimulation a bad thing?

One school in Paris, France wanted to find out. They invited 100 graffiti artists to let their creativity and imaginations run wild all over the walls, ceilings and floors of a dormitory at Cité Internationale Universitaire. The project was part of Rehab 2, an urban festival that ran from the middle of June to mid July. The artists were given three weeks to complete the project before it was opened up for members of the public to come in and have their minds blown.

Sadly, the work will be destroyed as the building will be gutted as it makes way for a new renovation of the dormitory. Either way, the pieces that these artists created are truly spectacular.

The quality of the art just keeps getting better from here. I truly wish we decided to paint more of our public institutions in this manner, life would be much more vibrant.

So Bad So Good

This is a great example of an old-school "wild style".
