7 Celebrities Who Decided It Was Okay To Date Teenagers

Metro/Famous People

We all love a good celebrity couple, especially when they are soaked in controversy. The level of controversy seems to span the gambit of situations, but what we think gets people riled up the most is when their is a massive age gap between two people in a relationship. It gets especially juicy when one of the people from the relationship is still a teenager. For the purposes of this piece, we are defining "teenager" as anyone under the age of 20.

Here are seven celebrities who had no problem dating someone in their teens.

1. Henry Cavil and Tara King

Henry Cavil may play the Man of Steel on the big screen, but he likes to keep his personal life as private as possible. People went nuts when they found out that his girlfriend Tara King is 13 years younger than he is. When Cavil met King, he was 32 and she was 19. Despite the age gap, he spoke well of his new girlfriend, but that relationship didn't even last the year. It turns out that Cavil has also been on the other side of the equation, having dated a 32-year-old when he was only 19.

2. Elvis Presley and Priscilla Ann Wagner

Likely the most famous of all celebrity couples on this list, Elvis and Priscilla's relationship would have been a massive scandal in the modern world, as he was 24 when he met the 14-year-old Priscilla. The couple met in Germany and dated there for several years before Elvis headed back state side. Priscilla eventually moved in with the King at his Graceland manor, and the rest is history.

3. Doug Hutchison and Courtney Stodden

This one just makes you feel unclean. Hollywood actor Doug Hutchison started dating Courtney when he was 50-years-old, and she was just 16, he even married her when she was still 16. He met her online through an acting workshop that he was teaching (which makes this even worse), and apparently Hutchison didn't know that the young lady he was pursuing was so young. I don't know what else to say about this.

4. Paul Walker and Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell

After his death, news broke that his long-time girlfriend Jasmine was only 23 years old at the time of his death. The couple had been together for nearly 7 years, which means that when they first started their relationship, Jasmine was only 16 years old compared to Walker who would have been 33 at the time. Jasmine was only 8 years older than Walker's daughter, but she still developed into something of a step-mother for young Meadow.

5. R. Kelly and Aaliyah

Why doesn't this surprise anyone in the least? R. Kelly has gotten himself in trouble over the years when it comes to underage girls (remember the peeing video?), and it appears that it wasn't a one time thing. When Kelly was 27 he started dating singing phenom, Aaliyah, who was only 15 years old at the time. They even got married when she was only 15, even though their marriage paperwork stated that she was 18 at the time, making this relationship even more confusing than it already was.

6. Jerry Seinfeld and Shoshanna Lonstein

This is a name I wasn't expecting to be writing as a part of this list, but it turns out that Jerry Seinfeld had a thing for the younger ladies when he started dating 17-year-old Shoshanna Lonstein, when he was 38 tears old, and she was still in high school. After spending four years together the couple finally split, even after Seinfeld had allegedly proposed to her on her 21st birthday.

Zimbio

7. Sonny Bono and Cher

Another massively famous power-couple for this list, Sonny and Cher were 27 and 16 years old respectively when they first started dating. Cher was a high school dropout who was working as a dancer when she met Bono, who decided that he would hire her to work as his house cleaner before finding work for her as a backup singer. After only one month of living together, they had an "unofficial" wedding in Tijuana, Mexico.
