How many BBQs do you attend each summer? One a week? Or maybe they all get packed into a short period of time and you're hitting 4 in 6 days?
Regardless, it's always nice to bring a side dish to someone's house when they invite you. After all, you're getting a free dinner and you don't have to host it at your house so that's already a win-win situation!
But a plain potato salad can get a little repetitive for everyone involved as the summer goes on. Sure, it's a classic. But it loses its oomph after a while.
There are some ways you can spice up a boring potato salad this summer that are sure to be a crowd pleaser!
1. Baked Potato Salad
It calls for ONE POUND of cheese and 1/2 a pound of bacon. You cannot go wrong.
"I brought this dish to a barbeque and it was the hit of the party! There were some leftovers and people were fighting for them!"
2. Texas Ranch Potato Salad
Add a kick to your salad with ranch seasoning and some bacon! This recipe uses red potatoes which are great in a salad.
"This is a great potato salad for a large crowd. I am the church cook and I fix it for about 150 people. I always get requests for the recipe."
3. Cucumber Dill Potato Salad
A unique way to add tang without mustard, while also adding some freshness!
"This was so yummy. I substituted bell pepper for cucumber because that's what I had on hand. The only problem I had was that I couldn't stop eating it and I had to scold my boyfriend for sneaking bites before dinner. :)"
