It's been a few years, but this story doesn't get old.
In 2014, a wealthy and anonymous businessman enlisted several deputies of the Missouri Police to help him with this very special holiday mission.
His targets: people driving in cars that are broken, dented and in need of repair. People who appear to be struggling, churches, and community donations centers.
This benevolent business man handed officers thousands of dollars in cash and then instructed them to find these people and spread a little Christmas cheer. It was a miracle for many, who responded with tears, hugs and disbelief. For some, it may have been the most positive experience they've ever had with law enforcement.
For the police, it was a chance to be the bearer of good news and the recipient of hugs instead of hate.
