Making treats for a new mom can be a lot of fun. There are so many options you could do to have things as adorable as possible and Baby Rattle Cake Pops might just be the cutest.
Cake Pops are always a huge hit at any gathering, especially when they are on theme! Give them a shot next time you are getting ready for a baby shower!
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup yellow cake mix
- 3 tablespoon milk, more if needed to reach dough consistency
- Pink candy melts (or whatever color you want)
- Piping gel
- Pink sanding sugar (or whatever color you want)
Add your butter to a bowl with the sugar and mix it until it combines.
Add the vanilla and blend it in.
Add in the cake mix, flour and salt and mix it. It may look a little bit crumbly but don't worry!
Add the milk in, so that it forms a dough, if you need to add a little bit more do so slowly so it doesn't get too runny.
Once it has reached the consistency that will let it stick together, roll your dough into balls.
Cut three of them in half and roll them again so you have an even number of the small size to the large size.
Add a little bit of melted candy melts onto a lollipop stick and press it into one of the cake balls.
Add one of the smaller balls on the other end of the same stick, once again using a little bit of melted chocolate so it will stay on it.
Repeat with all your cake pops and then set to chill for about 15 minutes so they firm up.
Now, you can dip the cake pops into the candy melts and make sure the entire thing is covered.
Chill them until the candy melts harden. Once they have, you can pull them out and paint the piping gel onto half of the bigger side of the cake pop.
Sprinkle the sand onto the gel.
These will be the perfect addition to any baby shower!
