Whether someone brings you a wonderful gift or plans a big party for you, everyone has a different take about how much surprise they enjoy on a special day.

Well Kelly Clarkson got the surprise of a lifetime for her 35th birthday.

The "Miss Independent" singer woke up Friday morning to a birthday scavenger hunt with a puzzling ending.

Using Scrabble ties she unscrambled an anagram and she couldn't contain her emotions.

"Pack your bags...wait, what?" she read out loud in a video she posted on her Instagram page.

"We're going on a girls' trip, but we're not telling you where yet!" a friend told the American Idol winner.
