Alan Thicke Has Died At Age 69

It is with heavy hearts that we tell you beloved actor Alan Thicke has died.

The 'Growing Pains' star died of a heart attack while playing hockey with his son, Carter.

He was 69.

At around noon on December 13th, Alan Thicke suffered a heart attack and was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Thick was apparently an organ donor, and organ donation services were called to the hospital. It is believed that some of his organs will be used to save the lives of those in need.

The Canadian actor is survived by his three sons, Robin, Brennan, and Carter...as well as his wife Tanya.

Alan Thicke was an Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actor, of course. But few remember him as a talented songwriter who composed theme songs for Growing Pains, Diff'rent Strokes, and Wheel of Fortune.

Rest in peace, Alan Thicke. You will be deeply, deeply missed.
