Cars may have been his onscreen and off-screen passion, but there's nothing Paul Walker loved more than his daughter, Meadow.

The Fast and Furious actor's life was cut short in 2013 following a fatal car accident in Santa Clarita, California. At the time of his death, the Hollywood star's daughter was just 14 years old and as you can imagine, it took a while before she spoke out about his untimely death.

Although Meadow only lived with Paul for a short amount of time, they'd gotten very close since she moved from Hawaii to California.

“She’s the best partner I’ve ever had,” Paul told EW a few months before the tragic crash. “I’ve never had anything like this in my life. I’ve been so transient, I’ve been on my own since I was 16. … There’s a part of me who feels like I’m making up for lost time.”

A year after her father's demise, Meadow shared her first two Instagram posts but without mention of Paul. In 2015, she returned to social media after a year-long hiatus and uploaded a touching post on what would've been his 42nd birthday, reflecting on her father's life and announcing the launch of The Paul Walker Foundation.

The teenager was inspired by her late father's philanthropic efforts and his passion for helping people, animals and the environment.

"I love so much about him," a then 16-year-old Meadow said about Paul in a message posted on the group's website. "I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with others. I want to share that piece of him with the world. I am tremendously proud to be launching the Paul Walker Foundation on his birthday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my father."

The Paul Walker foundation's main focus is on environmental issues and Meadow is carrying her father's legacy by "helping ocean leaders of tomorrow become beacons in the fight to protect our oceans, wildlife, and ourselves."

The foundation will provide grants and scholarships to students and researchers in the field of marine science in hopes to leave them "better educated and better equipped to deal with the challenges of tomorrow."

Aside from continuing her father's goodwill, 18-year-old Meadow is mapping out a career in the fashion industry and she's got some gorgeous pictures to prove it.
