The power of prayer can turn around the most devastating situations.
When 2-year-old Ethan fell out of the second-story window of his family home onto their concrete driveway, doctors thought that he may have been paralyzed, brain damaged or die from the 12-foot drop.
"And I can remember running to the front door," Tammy said. "And I vividly still remember seeing my hand being on the doorknob crying out, 'Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!' because I knew this was going to be bad."
But God had other plans for this bubbly little boy.
"We just held him and he immediately started going to sleep," his mother Tammy said.
That's when she remembered praying over Ethan a few weeks ago.
"That he was going to fulfill the call in his life and that God was going to protect him."
When she saw him laying in the driveway, she believes that the Holy spirit brought those prayers back.
At the hospital doctors were preparing the family for the worst.
"All those scenarios played out in your mind," Tammy said. "And then seeing everything happening at the hospital you start to realize how bad this really can be."
Ethan had a life-threatening concussion, and his brain was swelling. Doctors thought that Ethan would either have brain damage or not survive at all.
"The doctors, they don’t give you very much hope when you’re talking to them," his father Monty said. "They’ll tell you the facts and what to expect next. We as believers need to declare what we’re going to see next."
