It took two years, but 10-year-old Tyler Boone finally has grown his hair long enough to make a wig for his friend with Alopecia!
Tyler stayed strong and ignored all the bullies telling him he looked "like a girl" because he knew he was doing something nice for a friend.
Gabby Ruiz was a family friend who was diagnosed with alopecia at the age of 4, which caused all of her hair to fall out. When Tyler found out he wanted to help her, telling his mom "Well, it's just hair, I can grow hair."
His reason for doing this is really sweet and heartwarming.
"I just want to make her happy." - Tyler Boone
The 12 inches of hair were cut by Gabby herself, and will be donated to the nonprofit Children With Hair Loss to make Gabby a wig. In his boy scout uniform, Tyler got a short buzzcut and couldn't believe how different it felt from his long hair.
So nice to see a kid doing such selfless things!
