In early June 2016, Mzznaki Tetteh posted her engagement photos online to celebrate the happy news with her family and friends, but it was instantly met with unjustified animosity.

The Ghanaian nurse was subjected to online body shaming once the photos of her and her fiance, Kojo Amoah, were uploaded to her Instagram page.

Tetteh, who normally doesn't post pictures with her fiance on social media, was ridiculed for her size by some harsh and insensitive comments. While there were a lot of supportive messages, there was also a large number of people commenting on her weight, enough to cause a stir and make the photos go viral.

"RIP that man's spine," one user commented. "I gotta hand it to him his arms are stronger than my last relationship," wrote another.

Despite all of the negativity, Tetteh was unfazed by the haters. Instead she focused on the compliments and the well-wishes.

"Still confident ... your rubbish comments ain't ruining my happiness ... thanks to all for the compliments and best wishes ... am honored," Tetteh wrote in the caption of another photo from the engagement series.

At the end of that month, Tetteh got the last laugh when she walked down the aisle to marry the love of her life.

Throughout the entire body-shaming ordeal, Tetteh's family, friends and now husband, have stuck by her side.

"I just can't imagine what I will do if I didn't have you to hold my hands and look into my eyes to tell me as yours forever," she wrote on social media about her husband. "Just wanna let u know that the flames of passion between us will never be extinguished.

"You are the reason why I smile and why our love thrives between miles."

"I can BOLDLY say am the luckiest woman to have a HUSBAND like you and I want the whole world to know that you will forever be the man for me," she said. "Am glad I got the dibs for you. For you are a rare species and probably the last of the world's best husbands.

The big day finally came around on June 25, 2016 and the happy couple said "I do" surrounded by their loved ones. Tetteh didn't let the haters deter her from sharing some of the photos from the beautiful nuptials on her social media.
