First Photo Of Carrie Underwood Surfaces Since Revealing She Looks "A Bit Different" After Injury

When it was revealed that Carrie Underwood had fallen down the stairs, I don't think anyone understood how bad the situation was. The country superstar told fans she had broken her wrist and required surgery, but it seemed like that was her only injury.

Since then, Underwood has been spending time with her family, most recently in Peterborough, Canada with her husband, Mike Fisher's, family.

She also posted this photo of herself bundled up, which most people attributed to it being 5 degrees in Peterborough.

But in an email sent to fan club members, Underwood revealed that her injuries were far worse than she had lead on.

"There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up," she wrote in the note. "It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in. I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different."

This left fans concerned, not for her appearance, but hoping that the singer was physically okay. But a new photo has surfaced which is bound to reassure fans that Underwood is on the road to recovery.

Adrienne Gang, a TV personality on Bravo, bumped into Underwood during a workout in mid-December, and the two took a selfie together. According to Gang, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

"I had no clue she was injured!" Gang wrote on Twitter. "She looked amazing!"

One Twitter user asked if Underwood was perhaps wearing heavy makeup, but Gang denied it.

"Not that I noticed," she wrote. "She looked great!"

Though some fans were confused as to the "differences" Underwood had suggested, others could see what she meant.

Regardless of Carrie's injuries, we know her inner beauty and talent will still shine bright!

Meagan has an intense love for Netflix, napping, and carbs.
