The name Casey Anthony still brings up bad emotions to this day.

As many will remember, Casey Anthony was at the center of a murder trial. The victim? Her daugher Caylee.

Caylee's body was found in the woods near her home in June of 2008. The prosecution was adamant that Casey Anthony had killed her daughter, dumped the body, and tried to resume her normal life.

A cause of death was never determined, but there is speculation that Caylee was killed with an excessive amount of chloroform.

Casey Anthony was acquitted for murder, her only charges for lying to the police. The case was wildly controversial, with most people agreeing that Casey killed her daughter. Even her parents believe she killed Caylee.

Casey was acquitted in 2011. Now, 6 years later, she has finally broken her silence about everything.

"Based off of what was in the media, I understand the reasons people feel about me," Anthony said. "I understand why people have the opinions that they do."

But what about having kids in the future?

"If I am blessed enough to have another child "” if I'd be dumb enough to bring another kid into this world knowing that there'd be a potential that some jackass, their little snot-nose kid would then say something mean to my kid "” I don't think I could live with that," she said.

To this day, Casey stands her ground about not killing her daughter, even though she admitted to lying during the case.

"Even if I would've told them everything that I told to the psychologist, I hate to say this, but I firmly believe I would have been in the same place," she told AP. "Because cops believe other cops. Cops tend to victimize the victims. I understand now ... I see why I was treated the way I was even had I been completely truthful."

And to all the haters who try to bring Casey down?

"I don't give a sh** about what anyone thinks of me, I never will," she says. "I'm OK with myself; I sleep pretty good at night."
