No Christmas would be complete without Clement Clarke Moore's The Night Before Christmas. It's a wonderful story of magic, family, Santa and presents. Nothing could make it more perfect for the holidays.
Seriously - add cats to Christmas and your joy will multiply by a million. But, if you don't tie your tree to the wall, so will your frustration. Thank goodness for plastic ornaments!
And now, without further ado, I give you:
The Night Before Cat-mas
'Twas the night before Cat-mas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The cats are awake and roaming around,
They can't believe the shiny treasure they've found.
With one single leap, they take to the sky,
They launch at the tree,
Twinkling lights, caught their eye!
It doesn't take long, the ornaments are falling,
The candy canes glisten,
The tinsel is calling.
And then, in an instant,
The tree falls with a crash,
The dog goes bananas,
Out of the room, kitties dash.
So ends the tale of Cat-mas glory,
Don't worry, we'll fix the tree -
Before tomorrow night's story...
