10 Famous Couples Reveal The Secret To A Happy Marriage

PopSugar

You don't often hear about long-term celebrity marriages, because their marriages aren't tumultuous enough to make headlines. Of course, dramatic relationships are much more interesting to read about than happy ones, but it's also nice to know what keeps these rich celebrities so close together.

Marriage isn't smooth sailing, but these long-term celebrity couples have revealed their secret to what keeps them true to their vow "for better, or for worse."

Here are 10 famous celebrity couples who we can learn a thing or two from.

10. William H. Macy & Felicity Huffman

The Shameless star and American Crime actress tied the knot 20 years ago, and Macy's secret to keeping the marriage going is ... peculiar, but it seems to have worked for the past two decades. So, who are we to doubt it?

"I'm no expert in it but I think it has something to do "” it's the same thing as in acting: when you don't feel it, fake it," he revealed during an appearance on PEOPLE Now. "I love women and don't take this wrong, but you're very easy to manipulate ... Something shiny or flowers, it goes a long way. You have to put your attention on it. When you don't feel it, do it anyway."

9. Suzanne Somers & Alan Hamel

This couple has been together for 50 years! Suzanne has even published a book talking about the secrets to a successful relationship.

She says she and Hamel have sex twice a day, and also they "listen to one another, give each other a lot of attention, keep it exciting, date," she revealed. "My marriage is very romantic. ... We might sit here and have a tequila. ... We dance, I cook, we sit out and watch the moonlight on the ocean."

8. Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky

The actor and actress attribute their successful long-term marriage to making time for each other.

"Once you have children, every instinct and every moment of your time is consumed by that. You've got nothing for each other," Hemsworth told GQ Australia. "So, make sure you have date night even if it's once in a blue moon, because most of the time you're just too tired and you'd actually prefer to sleep."

7. Kristin Cavallari & Jay Cutler

Former The Hills stars have revealed that they don't have a "perfect" marriage, but who does! The key is to find a way to keep the spark alive.

"I have always said: it's kind of nice to miss each other," Cavallari revealed to E!'s Daily Pop, citing Cutler's move to Miami for the NFL season while she and their kids are home in Nashville. "I think that's how we've always kind of kept our spark alive."

6. Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake

This couple tied the knot in late 2012, and have been going strong ever since. The Easy Virtue actress gives, perhaps, the most important piece of advice for maintaining a successful marriage.

"We have similar values; we believe in loyalty, honesty," she revealed to Marie Claire. "We like to have fun. We like a lot of the same things. Also, in the business, we're all very career-oriented, and you have to be a little selfish. I understand that about my peers "” about being focused and driven "” and if you can find that and someone who shares the same values as you, it's like: Score!"
