Print Recipe

The world of pickles has sure changed in the last few years, from artisanal pickles to jello pickles. This one comes in right in the middle for it's not artisanal but they sure are yummy!

Deep fried pickles are amazing bar snacks and are also super easy to do at home with or without a deep fryer! Instead of breadcrumbs for these pickles replace it with crushed cheetos!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cheetos, finely crushed
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups dill pickles, sliced
  • Canola oil, for frying

For the dipping sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • â…“ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • 1 tablespoon dill

Directions:

  1. Preheat canola oil in a large pot or deep fryer until it reaches 375 degrees.
  2. To make the ranch dip, stir together the ingredients in a medium bowl, then chill for 30 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the Cheeto crumbs, flour, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Pat the sliced pickles dry very well so there is very little moisture left, if any. Toss the pickles in the flour mixture to coat, then fry in the hot oil until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from the oil to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any extra grease.
  5. Serve immediately with dipping sauce. Enjoy!
