Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies Are Coming To A Store Near You

If you're fan of sweet nibbles then you'll love to hear the big announcement coming out of Hostess headquarters this week. The company behind some of  America's favorite treats has launched a new decadent snack that will have fans swooning.

Following the success of their Bakeshop snacks like the Decorated Twinkies, Triple Fudge Ding Dongs and Cupcake Cookies, the company unveiled their latest spin on one of their nostalgia-inducing snacks - Twinkies.

The cream-filled mini cake logs have been given a chocolate peanut butter treatment and it sounds heavenly.

The new Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkie pairs "America's favorite flavor combination with America's most beloved snack cake," claimed Vice President and CMO at Hostess Brands, Burke Raine.

According to the press release, the Twinkies "will feature the delectable pairing of sweet and salty flavors, as well as an irresistible creamy peanut butter texture."

Similar to Oreo's strategy of releasing limited-edition flavors in a bid to be more innovative, Hostess is switching things up as "part of its ongoing innovation efforts and in recognition of consumer demand for a timeless flavor pairing."

If you like chocolate or peanut butter but Twinkies aren't your snack of choice then perhaps the newest Reese's Crunchy Cookie Cups or Dunkin' Donuts Mocha Oreos will satisfy your sweet tooth.

If you haven't spotted the new Chocolate Peanut Butter Twinkies in your local grocery store, don't despair, they're on their way. Hostess confirmed that they are already starting to appear on store shelves in single-serve and multi-pack formats.

If you're after a snack with a little bit of a crunch then the new Reese's Crunchy Cookie Cups will hit the spot. The upgraded peanut butter cups are filled with crunchy chocolate cookie bits that taste similar to classic Oreos.

Reese's

The Reese's cups have been in stores since May and are available in two formats - the standard size cups and the "king size" Big Cup.

However, if you want peanut butter out of the equation then the latest creation to come of the Oreo flavor vault will satisfy both your snacking and caffeine needs.

Nabisco

Oreo has partnered up with Dunkin' Donuts to create mocha-flavored cookies and they're available on shelves nationwide starting July 3. The limited-edition cookies have already been spotted at some Walmart locations so you better hurry to your nearest store if you don't want to miss out.
