They either star in hit movies or perform their songs all around the world, but after all that fun is over, some of them go home with a chronic illness that makes their daily life a struggle.
Most of these chronic illnesses are treatable, but they require medical attention for decades.
Michael J. Fox, who suffers from Parkinson's, and Charlie Sheen, who has HIV, are perhaps some of the most famous celebrities who are known for their chronic illnesses.
The most talked about illness this year is Lupus, which caused former Disney star Selena Gomez to get a kidney transplant.

The "Believe" singer has been battling chronic fatigue syndrome since 1991.
“My experience was that it was really a physical illness — but it does make you depressed as well ... Boy, it was devastating for me," she said in a BBC interview.
2. Alec Baldwin
We know the most famous Baldwin for hit movies like The Departed and his comedic sketches as Donald Trump on SNL, but did you know this actor has also been battling Lyme disease? The first time Alec got bit with the tick-borne illness he said he felt like he was going to die.
"I got the classic Lyme disease (symptoms) for each successive summer, for five years, every August, like this black lung, flu-like symptoms, sweating to death in my bed," he said. "The first time was the worst of all, and I really thought this is it, I’m not going to live. I was alone, I wasn’t married at the time, I was divorced from my first wife. I was lying in bed saying, ‘I’m going to die of Lyme disease,’ in my bed and ‘I hope someone finds me and I’m not here for too long'."

When there's something wrong with the "it girl" of the decade, the whole world knows about it. The reality TV star Kim Kardashian freaked out when she learned she had psoriasis, which is a skin condition that causes crusty, red patches.
"I'm always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I'm learning to just accept it as part of who I am," she wrote on her website.
