Regular churros are delicious, but they take a lot of work (and a deep fryer) to make. These Churro Waffle Dippers have all the deliciousness of a regular churro, but only take 5 minutes to whip up! Not only are they super quick to make but they're absolutely heavenly. Serve these at your next party and people won't be able to keep their hands off them.
These little churro bites taste delicious on their own, but you can make them extra special by dipping them in a scrumptious frosting (we definitely recommend the frosting!). These cinnamon sugar coated waffles mixed with the smooth and creamy frosting is a flavor combo that can't be beat. Once you try them, they're guaranteed to be your new go-to recipe when you're looking for an easy-to-make sweet treat.
- 1 Box Puff Pastry, 2 sheets thawed
- Cinnamon Sugar Mixture (use premade mix, or make your own using 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon)
- 3/4 Cup butter, softened
- 2 Cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
In a medium mixing bowl beat butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Set aside.
Heat waffle iron.
Open pastry sheets and with a pizza cutter, cut dough into squares size squares.
Place four squares of the bite size pieces of dough into the hot waffle iron. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes depending on your waffle iron. Cook until golden brown.
Holding waffles over a plate, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over waffles on both sides.
If desired, cut into smaller strips.
Dip squares in frosting and enjoy!
