Being born to parents who are both Hollywood stars can make for an interesting childhood. While some celebrities have no issue with putting their children under the limelight, some prefer to keep them hidden from the prying eyes of the public.

Friends alum Courteney Cox and actor David Arquette belong in the latter group.

During their 14-year marriage, the couple welcomed a daughter, Coco. Just like a few other celebrity children, the young girl has maintained a relatively low profile.

Since she was born in 2004, we've only seen her a handful of times.

Although Cox and Arquette went their separate ways in May 2012, they remain friends and co-parents, and it looks like they've inspired the now 14-year-old to follow in their footsteps.

In the last few years, Coco has been slowly embracing the spotlight by accompanying her parents to special events and film premieres. Back in 2015, she was even spotted wearing heels while attending the premiere of her mom's directorial debut, Just Before I Go.

More recently, the teenager took it a step further by starring in two music videos. This has reminded people of Cox's big break when she appeared in Bruce Springsteen's video for his 1984 hit "Dancing in the Dark."

In 2016, at just 12-years-old, Coco made her on-screen debut in a music video for Irish singer Foy Vance. The song titled "Coco," was inspired by the young girl, and the video was directed by her mom.

"From the first time Foy played 'Coco' for me "” and every time I've heard it since "” I've felt he captured, not only Coco's unique personality but also the beautiful childhood innocence that sadly, but inevitably, fades with time," Cox told People Magazine.

About a year later, Coco appeared in her second music video for Monogem's "Wild." This prompted her dad to share a post on Instagram expressing how proud he was of his daughter, who isn't so little anymore.

It seems like Coco's flame is burning brighter as she grows up. While she may have taken to acting, her mother seems to think that she could be a singer if she wanted to.

"She's a really good singer," Cox said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I don't know where she got it."

Despite being part of some major projects, Coco is still laying low. The teenager doesn't even have public social media accounts, but her parents have been sharing photos and videos of their daughter.

Back in August 2017, Arquette shared a photo of Coco on Twitter where she is half smiling at the camera while sitting at a restaurant looking grown up. He captioned the sweet snap, "My Angel."

People were taken aback by how fast the teenager has grown and they took to twitter to express this.

Most recently, Coco has appeared at a fundraising event hosted by Dermot O'Leary to raise money for London Irish Centre charity. Accompanied by her mother, theteen was stylishly dressed in a purple hoodie, black crop top and cut off jeans.

As Coco's just entering her teen years, both mother and daughter have to adjust to a new dynamic. While Cox said the pair get into squabbles, their unconditional love for one another is still there.

"We bicker, let's be honest, but we love each other," the Friends star told People Magazine in April.

"I would also describe it as, well, I am a [teenage] girl, you are a mom, so I love you, but of course we're gonna get in fights," Coco added. "But we're very close. Very close. I love you a lot."

Time surely does fly, but we're happy to be seeing more of Coco. She's definitely one to watch.
