You might not expect a lot of traffic jams in Paris, Tennessee, but according to sheriff Monte Belew, loose cows slowing down traffic on the local highway are "not a strange call to receive at all."
That was the case earlier this week, when a baby cow meandered his way onto Highway 79, blocking traffic and putting himself in danger. Luckily, when Belew arrived to aprehend the fugitive, his friend and local farmer David Bevill just happened to be in the area.
"He hollers at me and asks 'do you got a rope?'" Bevill told Nashville's News Channel 5 Network, and luckily he did, along with his cowboy boots and hat. Together, the two pulled off a modern day roundup that has to be seen to be believed, and more than 3 million people have watched the incredible video online.
Thankfully this cowboy was in the right place at the right time, or else this situation could have become a cow-tastrophe.
Bevill says that this throw was "probably the best loop I've ever thrown in my life," and we believe him! Hopefully this outlaw cow will think twice before crossing this pair of lawmen again.
