WKYC

There is no question that Disney is a place that makes dreams come true. For one little boy, his trip to Disneyland was made extra special thanks to a visit with Minnie, Mickey and Pluto.

He was at the park on a trip organized by Olive Crest, a nonprofit that works with abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families. They provide services including counseling, foster care and transitional living assistance for youngsters.

In May, the organization celebrated National Foster Care Month with 175 of its foster and adoptive families at Disneyland.

When the little guy, stood in front of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto with his floppy, dark hair the characters began to interact with him. Dressed in jeans and T-Shirt, he wasn't expecting what the did next.

Pluto waves an ear to say hello to the boy. Then a woman comes up behind the boy to introduce him to Mickey and Minnie.

She then moves to the background where she helps demonstrate the hand motions to the Disney characters who began signing to the boy.

They said "It's nice to meet you" and "I love you" in hand gestures, so that the deaf boy could understand.

That's when the boy walks up to Minnie and hugs her.

After being cradled by her big white paws, she gives him a kiss on the head and he goes to give Mickey a hug to.

Phoenix is just one of thousands of children who Olive Crest has helped find a loving home and a family to care for him.
