Have you ever been at work or out and about and found yourself chilled? All you can think about is going home at the end of the day and wrapping yourself in a blanket and getting toasty and warm. Lucky for you, fashion has finally made us something that is super pretty bust actually practical: Blanket scarfs. They are these wonderful scarfs that are so cozy you are going to want one in every color, pattern and texture. Want to know how to make your own? Here are a couple tutorials for you, one that has a little bit of sewing and one that doesn't require any (thank god) so that you can make them for all your friends no matter what your craft skill level is!
For those who can't sew:
Mom Advice made this excellent tutorial that has me googling my nearest fabric stores. All you need is a couple yards of flannel and a pair of scissors. This project is as affordable as the fabric you choose and how good at collecting coupons you are. I will be trying this one out as soon as I can find my nearest flannel emporium.
For those who can sew:
Merricks Art has a tutorial that involves just the smallest amount of sewing so that the edges on't get too frayed. You just hem along the edges and poof! Perfect scarf. So get to the fabric store and pick up for the coziest fabric you can find and make yourself a warm blanket that you can wear in public.
For those who want to use even less fabric (no-sew):
This tutorial from Bunny Baubles uses about half as much fabric with only 1 yard instead of 2, for those who may not want as much bulk around their necks but still want to be toasty no matter where they are. So get to the fabric store and pick up for the coziest fabric you can find and make yourself a warm blanket that you can wear in public!
