Color blindness affects 1 in 200 women and 1 in 12 men. There are a variety of classes, but the most common is red-green color blindness. The technical term for color blindness is Color Vision Deficiency (CVD).
Most people aren't actually blind to color. Instead, they have a reduced ability to actually see them. In most cases, it's inherited from our parents and they're carried on the X chromosome.
