Donald Trump Jr. Compares Refugees to Poisoned Skittles

Donald Trump has been known to say his shared of outlandish and controversial things, but his son Donald Trump Jr has also decided to speak his mind.

Trump Jr, the eldest child of his well-known father, took to Twitter to voice his concern about the Syrian refugee problem.

Trump Jr. posted this picture on his Twitter account and received immediate reaction.

It reads, "If I had a bowl of Skittles and I told you just three would kill you, Would you take a handful? That's our Syrian refugee problem."

Within seconds of posting the image, Trump Jr. was met with immediate responses. Many people, all Trump supporters, agreed with this statement. They claimed it is unsafe to bring people into the country when there is a risk just a few could be harmful.

Other people suggested this was a wildly insulting analogy, and that comparing people who are fleeing war-torn countries to fruity candies is insensitive and wrong.

A representative for Skittles made their position on the matter very clear.

It reads, "Skittles are candy. Refugees are people. We don't feel it's an appropriate analogy. We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say could be misinterpreted as marketing."

Do you think Donald Trump Jr. crossed the line here? Or was his analogy accurate? Let us know in the comments.
