Emma Watson is truly an amazing woman. She was raised in the spotlight after joining the cast of Harry Potter at the age of eleven and hasn't let up for a moment. Recently her activism is what has proven that she is truly magical, by giving a voice to the millions of girls and women who aren't being treated fairly. Watson has helped make a powerful film about gender equality that gave me goosebumps when I watched it.
The short film titled "Hurdles" is just the latest in a series of amazing projects she has been a part of since becoming a UN Women Global Goodwill Ambassador. It is very powerful and her efforts to advance gender equality should be celebrated and shared. It's all well and good if you want to be a celebrity or actor, but if you can take that fame and use it for something amazing then more power to you.
Check out the short film below, it is only two minutes long but it is enough to really help drive home the fact that there are still so many women who aren't being treated fairly all over the world. Share this with your friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else because gender quality is not a fad that is going to die out.
