Family Will Pay 63K For Nanny To Live In Their Freaky House

A couple from a small village in the Scottish Borders in need of childcare for their two children posted a job advertisement seeking a live-in nanny. While it's not uncommon to come across such an advertisement online, something about this particular posting has made the ad go viral.

At first glance the ad sounds like a dream job for the right fit. The nanny is expected to help with meal preparations, homework and transport the kids to school and back in exchange for a payout of about $63,000 annually plus 28 vacation days plus bank holidays, a room with an en-suite bathroom and a private kitchen.

Sounds dreamy, right? Except there's an unusual catch.

The house described as a "lovely, spacious, historic property with spectacular views" may have spirits of the dead roaming within.

The brave couple claimed that they have never experienced any supernatural disturbances but their previous nannies quit because of strange occurrences in the house.

"5 nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason, including strange noises, broken glass and furniture moving," the couple wrote in the ad posted on Childcare.co.uk.

When they bought the house a decade ago, they were warned of the possible supernatural beings they'll have to share the adobe with but they "decided to buy the house regardless."

Hauntings by possible vengeful spirits aside, the family is very serious about finding the "perfect long-term nanny" with a strong disposition for the job. They're even willing to pay above the asking rate for anyone who is willing to take on this "rewarding and exciting" position.
