This DIY Vitamin E Nighttime Face Cream is definitely one of those beauty products that packs a serious punch! Not only does it have anti-aging properties, but it also helps to reduce the appearance of scars and age spots while soothing dry, flaky skin.
Because of its super moisturizing properties this is a cream that should only be applied at night - it needs time to absorb into the skin. Once made, it's safe to store at room temperature for several months (but it will last longer if kept in the fridge).
What You'll Need:
- 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Butter
- 4 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Vitamin E Oil
- 4 Drops of Lavender Essential Oil
- Small Airtight Container
Melt the cocoa butter and coconut oil in the microwave.
Add the two oils into a bowl and mix to combine.
Add the vitamin E oil and lavender essential oil to the bowl and mix again.
Once mixed, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in fridge for 30 minutes (this will harden the oils).
After 30 minutes remove the bowl from the fridge and using a hand mixer, whip the cream until it's light and fluffy. You may need to break the mixture apart before whipping.
Once the cream is light and fluffy scoop it into a small airtight container (like a mason jar).
To use, apply to clean face at bedtime!
