First Designs for Trump's Border Wall are Unveiled

With bids due for the first designs, interested companies are preparing their plans to close the contract for what will be a one of the biggest project of their careers.

It has said there will be between 4 and 10 bidders that will be chosen to build prototypes of their version of the wall that will separate the United States and Mexico.

The U.S. government anticipates spending $200,000 to $500,000 on each prototype that will be built on federally owned land in San Diego.

Gleason Partners has devised a solar panel system that can be mounted on the wall, which would generate massive amounts of electricity to help meet the President's promise.

iCON Wall Solution by Single Eagle dba Concrete Contractors Interstate of San Diego, CA want to turn the wall into a piece of art by decorating the north sides with stones and artifacts.

President Trump's plans for a wall between the United States and Mexico has been met with deep resistance in Congress and beyond. On the campaign trail he claimed that Mexico would pay for the wall, but since he has requested billions of dollars of U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund construction.

He has now said that they are ahead of schedule and that construction on the wall will begin soon.
