"Oh, you just use nail polish for your manicures? That is SO 2016!"
Get ready to hear that all day, every day. Because apparently, people are using wire to do their nails now. Just wire.
Eun Kyung Park, a crazy-talented manicurist from Seoul, has taken the world by storm with her new wire nail manicure and it's...interesting.
Park is the same person who brought us the totally safe and not at all weird broken glass manicure.
But now wire nails are here. And if we're being TOTALLY honest I don't understand it.
Park says she got her inspiration for it from neon signs and how they're made.
"It's one long wire that's bent to create and connect the letters. I thought this was really cool and since nails are an accessory, I wanted it to be used for expression. Like rings" Park told Marie Claire.
It's a great idea in theory. I just think there are a lot of questions to be asked.
How does...going to the bathroom work?
How do you cut the wire?
Is it just clear nail polish holding it down?
Who has the TIME?
What happens when the top coat wears off?
How do you dress yourself without them bending?
The concept is pretty sweet. The nails look really cool. But I think practicality-wise, it's just not worth it.
What do you think?
