'Glee' Star Mark Salling Attempted Suicide Just Days Before Pleading Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

SheMAZING!

Disgraced actor Mark Salling attempted to take his own life a month and a half before striking a plea deal over child pornography possession.

The 35-year-old was in the bedroom of his Los Angeles home where he cut his wrists before "freaking out" and screaming for his roommate, who found him bleeding, according to TMZ.

Salling, known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit show Glee, was treated for his injuries by paramedics and brought to the hospital, where he underwent a psychiatric evaluation. Days later, Salling entered a rehabilitation facility for psychological issues.

The cuts have left Salling's arms scarred, explaining his recent sightings in long sleeve shirts in the scorching California heat.

Following his arrest in December 2015, Salling accepted a deal in the beginning of October, pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor. Salling originally faced 20 years in prison after the Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children task force  found 50,000 images of child porn and erotic on his personal computer.

He will receive a sentence between four to seven years in prison and 20 years of supervised release. He also must pay $50,000 of restitution to each of his victims requesting compensation.

Once free from prison, Salling must register as a sex offender and will be banned from coming within 100 feet of schoolyards, parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds and video arcade venues. He will also be forbidden to communicate with any person under 18 without their parent or guardian present.

Despite reports, a representative for Salling has denied the actor has harmed himself.

"Mark is physically fine and Mark is spending time atoning and working on himself," his lawyer said.
