Gordon Ramsay's Scrambled Eggs Recipe Is Unlike Anything You've Ever Tried

How do you like your scrambled eggs? Dry or Creamy? This is a serious question because according to world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay, a risotto-like consistency is the way to go.

The Michelin-starred chef demonstrated his method on a recent episode of MasterChef and it is unlike anything you've ever seen before. Ramsay's "perfect" recipe echoes Anthony Bourdain's in the sense that the eggs aren't overcooked, but that's the only thing they have in common.

Ramsay's version of scrambled eggs requires lots of butter, vigorous stirring and a dollop of crí¨me fraí®che. It takes more than 5 minutes to make but apparently this results in a wonderfully creamy and rich scramble that is "to die for."

Here's how to whip up some of Ramsay's "nice, light, fluffy scrambled eggs":

  2. Stir with a rubber spatula over high heat until the eggs start to cook (about 30 seconds).
  3. Remove from heat and continue stirring eggs - making sure to scrape the bottom- for about 10 seconds.
  4. Return to heat, then repeat the above process for about 3 minutes.
  5. When the eggs start to clump remove from heat and add the creme fraiche and season with freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Plate and garnish with chopped chives.
