Now, after months of anticipation, the show finally has a premiere date!

The upcoming ABC series will be 10 episodes long, and not too long ago, George told Variety that filming was already underway.

"We've been training and we've been shooting!" he said.

How much longer do we have to wait until the show that's yet to be named premieres? Not much longer! The spin-off will officially air its pilot on Thursday, March 22.

It seems like the cast is already getting along very well, with George describing them as a "pretty spectacular group of people."

"I was out with two of the guys last night, hanging out. They're a fantastic cast I think people are going to fall in love with," George told Variety. "Jaina Ortiz is a blast. We got Oak [Onaodowan] from Hamilton For any of the Hamilton fans out there "“ he was Hercules Mulligan and Madison in that, he said. "You'll recognize Jay Hayden from The Catch."

He also reassured fans that if they love Grey's, then they'll not be disappointed with the upcoming show. He also hinted at the fact that there will plenty of drama and emotional moments.

"We got Paris Barclay who's directing it "” the former president of the DGA "” so the bona fides are there! There's [showrunner] Stacy McKee, who wrote Grey for several seasons, and has been around from Grey's since Season One. If you love Grey's, you will dig the spin-off."

"I think the fun thing about firefight spin-off is that firefighters are on for 24-hour shifts and they become like a family. They eat together, they're sleeping there "“ it's like the Grey's family, except for when the Grey's family makes mistakes, a patient dies," he expalined. "When these guys make mistakes your partner dies, your friend dies, your lover, whatever, dies. That's an interesting new level and new twist to the work-family kind of thing."

ABC's president, Channing Dungey also backed up the actor's comments, saying:  "No one can interweave the jeopardy in a firefighter's face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and Grey's signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spin-off."

Now, we'll just have to impatiently wait for the creators to announce the title of the show. In the meantime, here are some suggestions made by TV Line: Anatomy of a Fire, Blaze Anatomy, Fire and Rain, Firehouse 19, Grey's Anatomy: Code 3, Seattle Burning, Seattle Flame, and Station 19.
