Dietitian Says Having Pizza For Breakfast Isn't A Bad Idea After All

Dietitian and blogger Chelsey Amer has made all of our wildest dreams come true. In a new interview with the Chicago Tribune, she argues that it's actually healthier to start your day with a slice of pizza than a bowl of breakfast cereal.

We don't need to be convinced, but if you're feeling confused, let Amer explain.

"You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories,” she told the paper.

β€œHowever, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.”

When you also consider that your average bowl of cereal contains much more sugar than a slice of pepperoni and cheese, the choice becomes obvious.

Amer says the swap could even help you avoid the mid-morning "sugar crash" that comes after enjoying your cereal bowl.
