At a Best Buy in New York, a young boy came in to the store every day to play their Wii U video game system.
The employees noticed the boy coming in frequently and staying for hours at a time, just playing the same game over and over.
All the associates decided to do something really nice for the kid, so they pooled all their money together and bought him the gaming system he used so much: a new Wii U for about $300!
They surprised the young boy at the store one day and they caught it on tape. He's left speechless as an employee explains to him that they bought him his own gaming system so he doesn't have to play the one at the store.
And of course, because everyone likes to make a big deal out of everything, people are now calling out the Best Buy employees for their act of kindness.
But luckily, the store manager made it very clear that the boy has two loving parents at home who were beyond thankful for their gift.
"I am actually a manager at Best Buy, update to the story is that he actually has two very loving parents at home. I have not been responding to the comments because some are just so hurtful. After purchasing the WiiU for him they actually drove him home where his parents were beyond welcoming. Thank you to everyone for offering up these donations. Whilst people have some horrible opinions about Best Buy associates I can not begin to express how wrong they actually are. I posted this to show otherwise, can't tell you how often I give people discounts or children that save money to buy items and come up a few dollars short. We are here to complete people's lives not take away from it. Been with the company for 10 years now and what our store did is why I continue to stay. The trolls I see on here make it hard sometimes as I deal with them in the store on a daily basis however it is what I signed up for and we all work through it."
Christmas is the time to be thankful and giving to those who otherwise would have nothing. What these employees did was nothing short of extremely generous and proves there are still good people in this world.
Share this if you believe the employees did the right thing!
