- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup rice krispies
- 3/4 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- [add your own ingredients: ex. 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or 1/2 cup raisins)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8 inch pan with parchment paper.
Start by adding your oats, baking soda, salt, rice krispies, oat flour, and brown sugar to a bowl and stir until combined.
In a separate bowl, mix all the liquid ingredients, including the coconut oil, apple sauce, vanilla, and honey, whisking together.
Pour all the liquid ingredients into the oat mixture and stir. If you are going to add in another ingredient, make sure to add it in now.
Press the mixture into the bottom of the 8 inch pan, using another piece of parchment paper to flatten the top.
Bake for 18 minutes, letting cool completely before cutting.
