However, if you make these granola bars, you can control the ingredients and then you are left with a yummy, healthy granola bar that you can customize to your likes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup rice krispies
  • 3/4 cup oat flour
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • [add your own ingredients: ex. 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or 1/2 cup raisins)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8 inch pan with parchment paper.

Start by adding your oats, baking soda, salt, rice krispies, oat flour, and brown sugar to a bowl and stir until combined.

In a separate bowl, mix all the liquid ingredients, including the coconut oil, apple sauce, vanilla, and honey, whisking together.
