Just Like 'Dunkin' Donuts' Muffins

Many of us are so busy in the morning that we often stop at our favorite shop for a coffee and a muffin. But all those pit stops add up to a lot of money spent that could have gone to other, more useful things.

This tasty muffin recipe replicates the delicious donut holes served up at Dunkin Donuts. Save yourself a few bucks and satisfy your morning sweet tooth by whipping up a batch of these instead.


  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
  2. Grease 24 mini-muffin cups
  3. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup margarine and nutmeg in a large bowl
  4. Stir in milk
  5. Add baking powder and flour until just combined
  6. Pour batter each mini muffin cup about halfway
  7. Bake until tops are lightly golden, about 15-20 minutes
  8. In a small bowl, melt 1/4 cup margarine
  9. In a second, small bowl, blend 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon
  10. Remove muffins from the oven, dip in melted margarine and roll in sugar-cinnamon mixture
  11. Cool and serve
