Kate Winslet Shared A Smooch With Allison Janey During An Award Show

Perhaps it's the nerves, but celebrities at award shows are anything but tame. Once the show gets rolling, you never really know what happens next and that's the fun part.

Over the years, we've witnessed our favorite celebrities commit major blunders on stage, take a tumble, give awkward acceptance speeches, have their speeches interrupted, and of course make out with each other - all on live television.

It seems like many of the stars are especially fond of publicly displaying their affection with each other.

There was that time at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards when Michael Jackson pulled in his then-wife Lisa Marie Presley for a very awkward kiss.

Then a few years later Adrien Brody and Halle Berry gave the audience and viewers at home a show when they locked lips on stage at the 2003 Academy Awards.

Now, thanks to Kate Winslet, there's another impromptu award show stage kiss to add to that list.

The Titanic star was at accepting an award at the Hollywood Film Awards when things took a steamy turn.

Winslet, 42, was awarded with the Hollywood Actress Award, so naturally she went up on stage to accept the trophy and say a few words.

At one point during her speech, she gave a shout out to one of her favorite actresses, West Wing star Allison Janney.

"Allison Janney is in this room," said Winslet. "Allison, I know I don't really know you, I just want to be you."

As everyone started laughing, Winslet's words began to get more suggestive.

"I want to stroke you, or something," she continued. "I mean, we could always kiss, maybe? Maybe?"

To everyone's utter surprise, Janney actually took Winslet up on her offer and made her way to the stage.

"Ah, it's gonna happen!" Winslet said. "This is an exciting moment!"

The actresses shared a quick kiss before Winston carried on with the rest of her speech.
