Most of us live in our jeans. They're the first things we put on and the last things we take off at the end of the day. With so many styles, shades and fades to choose from, denim is the ultimate wardrobe staple.
Sure, they last a long time, are highly durable and wash well, but to keep your favorite jeans pristine, you'll want to follow these three simple rules.
If you do, they'll likely outlive you!
1. Turn them inside-out
Not only for dark stain denim, but also for the faded variety. You want them to last as long as possible, so to keep the integrity of the fabric on the front, turn them inside out!
2. Cold Water
Run your denim through a cold rinse cycle to avoid color fading.
3. Hang to Dry
Heat will fade your denim faster than you can say "bell-bottom jeans are back." Instead of tossing them in the dryer, hang them up on a line or a drying rack. If you're afraid of stiff legs, toss a bit of fabric softener in your cold water wash.
