It's no secret that the wage gap between men and women has been front and center in today's conversations. The fact that women make 77 cents to every men's $1 is a hot button issue that more and more people are calling on to be changed.
And what better way to make a point than using a celebrity voice? Kristen Bell is not one to shy away from her opinions on the law, famously waiting to marry her fiancée, Dax Shepard, until gay marriage was legal in her state. Bell joins fellow actors Patricia Arquette, Bradley Cooper, Ethan Hawke, and Jennifer Lawrence in speaking out about gender inequity in both Hollywood and the "real world."
Bell recently collaborated with Huffington Post to create a mock ad which asks businesses, "Why outsource all your production to faraway countries like India, China, and Narnia when we have the cheapest and best workforce right here in the good ole U.S. of A.: women." It's part of a new video series called Celebs Have Issues that will feature a new celebrity each week, talking about different issues the world is facing.
Take a look at the video. Bell laces her commentary in sarcasm as she talks about all the "perks" of hiring women instead of outsourcing.
Do you think Bell gets her point across in the video? Let us know in the comments!
