When you want to indulge in a yummy treat, why not go all out? These Deep Fried Cookie Dough bits are absolutely the ultimate snack. They are warm, gooey and almost sinfully delicious.
There is no better way to treat yourself than these amazing bite sized morsels of heaven. It may sound like it's a bit excessive to describe them as heavenly, but seriously you just need to trust me and give them a try.
- Premade chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying
- Melted chocolate or caramel topping - optional
- Powdered sugar - optional
Heat your frying oil to 375 degrees.
Start by rolling your cookie dough into balls using an ice cream scoop.
Place them on a tray and put in the freezer.
While they are freezing up, mix your flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Add the milk and oil and whisk until smooth.
Dunk each dough ball into the batter and make sure they get coated evenly.
Place the coated dough balls into your heated frying oil and fry until golden.
Serve with chocolate sauce or caramel drizzled on top or you can even sprinkle on some icing sugar!
