We all know and love little Audrey Nethery.
She's a 7 year old girl from Kentucky who is living with a debilitating bone marrow disease called Diamond Blackfan Anemia, or DBA. The disease causes the bone marrow to under produce red blood cells through the body, which results in a lack of oxygen. It can cause stunted growth, birth defects, and abnormal features.
But DBA has never slowed Audrey Nethery down. She has become a viral sensation for her positivity, her love of dancing, and her incredible Zumba routines!
And now, thanks to the help of four time Grammy winner, Steven Battey, Audrey is a certified pop star!
Battey has written songs for incredible talents, such as Madonna, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Bruno Mars and Jason Derulo. But now, he's using his talents to help children who are fighting for their lives! Battey, along with his co-founder Alix Petersen, started a foundation called Singing For Superheroes.
"The children fighting for their lives are the real superheroes. We want to encourage and support them during their battles with our original music," says the Singing For Superheroes Facebook page. "We would like to create original music that inspires children with illnesses and disabilities. We want to combine our custom made music with hospital visits to children in need with lots of singing, dancing and great energy to really make a difference in there life."
Their first video was with Audrey Nethery, who honestly knocks it out of the park! This girl is giving Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez (two of her idols) a run for their money!
