His Daughter's Cool "Pootergirl" Outfit Goes Viral After Picture Day

According to her parents, little Kaylieann has always been her own person with a mind of her own, so what she did on picture day was no surprise at all. In fact, she stepped it up a notch.

When dad, Austin Steinbach shared the photo of his daughter wearing her "Pootergirl" outfit, it spread like wildfire.

It started when she spent the day at the San Francisco Comic Con with her dad. Of course she was Super Girl!

"[She's] refused to take off her costume since (eventually it was replaced with a Spider-Man one so I could wash the Supergirl)," Austin says in an Interview with Babble.

When it was time for picture day, little Kaylieann knew exactly what she wanted to wear. Even though dad had chosen some great outfits, nothing compared to her superhero costume.

"On picture day at school she was given the choice of outfits, none of which were Super Girl. She walked up, looked over each of her choices, turned and said 'POOTERGIRL!' and well…I couldn't argue with that answer," said Austin.

Austin explained that his daughter is actually 75% deaf in both ears. Now that they are all learning ASL, he has noticed a huge difference in the way she's opened up her expressiveness and vocabulary.

Since she cant' hear S sounds, she says "Pooterman" "Pootergirl."

The  community response has been positive all around and the family has been inundated with supportive messages.

"The reaction and turnout from the deaf community is amazing," he said. "I still haven't been able to get through all the messages of support and kind words people have sent me. I could never have imagined how much her picture could have touched so many."

We think this little lady has a special gift all her own! Way to go Kaylieann - shine bright little hero!
