Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love, but not all of us celebrate the special day the same way.

Some of us take time on this day to remember all our dear friends and family, while others celebrate with some chocolate and a glass of champagne with their significant other.

But what if that significant other has passed on? This special day only becomes a painful reminder to those who are still coming to grips with a tragic loss.

Facebook user Chasidy Gwaltney was at a restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas when she saw a heartbreaking scene. It was a man sitting alone with two plates and glasses of wine.

There was nobody sitting there with him, though. That's when she noticed the glass bottle on the table...

"This picture speaks loudly and it may hurt your heart as it has mine. This man looks like he is spending Valentine's Day alone at first glance but that is actually his wife in that very beautiful bottle sitting on the table. Apparently his love for her was and still is very strong as he takes her ashes out for a Valentine's lunch date together. He even bought her a glass of wine," Gwaltney captioned her Facebook post.

The photo of the crying man has gone viral, garnering almost 300,000 likes and more than 250,000 shares.

Gwaltney added that this image serves as an important reminder to us all about the true nature of Valentine's day:

"We are all guilty of taking our other half for granted from time to time. We may forget to give a goodbye kiss, say I love you or just be so caught up in what we are doing at the moment that we don't notice the very little things that mean so much to our special someone.

I saw something today that has made me remember that we won't always have each other to hold, talk to, love, play with or even just aggravate every now and then.

"Please love your Sweetheart while you have the opportunity, you never know what tomorrow will bring or take away! Happy Valentine's Day All!!!" she concluded.

What a heartwrenching image! We have to remember to express our love for our other half every day.
