While most celebrities of Marilyn Monroe's caliber own more than one property, the Hollywood starlet only ever had one house to her name. Monroe, who lived in 43 different homes before settling down, bought her first and last house in Brentwood, Los Angeles in 1962.
It was while she lived in this house that she made her last public appearances at John F. Kennedy's birthday gala, and sang "Happy Birthday Mr. President." Eight months later, she was found dead in her bedroom.
Since the bombshell's demise, the property housed a few celebrities, including actress Veronica Hamel of Hill Street Blues fame and the late Anna Nicole Smith. The house has been placed on the market multiple times after these stars left, and listed again earlier this year.
Over the years, the owners did some remodeling, and the interior doesn't look exactly like Monroe left it, but there are a few of her touches that remain.
