Meghan Markle's Ex-Husband Is Making a TV Show About Being Left For A Prince

We have all had ex's that have had trouble letting go, but at least no one has made a TV show about the end or your romance.

Film producer, Trevor Engelson, now known as Meghan Markle's ex-husband, has just announced a new TV project and it's bound to get attention on both sides of the Atlantic.

Engelson is reportedly working on a "divorce comedy" for Fox about being left for a British prince.

The show is reportedly fictional in nature, with the main characters not based on Markle or Engelson and the plot has elements very different than what came about in real life.

The official pitch for the show is,  "Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London's tabloid media, is next level."

But that seems a little close to the true events of Markle dating Prince Harry after her divorce from Engelson.

The sitcom will center around a couple who have children and the unique challenges that present when they are forced to share custody with the British Royal Family.

The currently untitled show is said to be produced by Modern Family's EP Danny Zuker, New Girl's Jake Kasdan and The Shannara Chronicle's Dan Farah.

The show was apparently inspired by a conversation between Engelson and Farah while musing what it would have been like if Markle and Engelson had kids together during their marriage and were now forced to share custody with the British Royal Family.

Markle and Engelson started dating in 2004, were married in 2011 and divorced two years later in 2013, long before she started dating Prince Harry. The pair do not have any children together.

The Suits actress has been quietly dating Prince Harry for just over a year. Harry and Markle just recently made their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto, but were still seated some 50 meters apart from each other.
