Mom Calls Her 'My Little Hero' After 5-Year-Old Daughter Saves Her From Drowning

Tracy Anderwald was having a fun and relaxing day in the pool with her daughter, when something terrible happened. Luckily her 5-year-old daughter Allison was there to save the day.

You don't normally think that a 5-year-old would be the one to do the rescuing, but in this case it was exactly what happened. Allison came outside to find her mother face down in the pool and like a real hero, she goes into the pool and turns her over before dragging her to the shallow end.

The little girl is seen in the surveillance video pulling her to the shallow end before running back into the house to get help. Tracy had a seizure in the pool while she was alone and spent about five minutes face down in the water before her daughter found her.

"Hands down she saved my life. It could have turned out a lot worst than what it was," Tracy told ABC News.

If she had even spent another minute underwater doctors say that she wouldn't have made it. Tracy is glad that she started teaching her girl how to swim when she was only two and a half because she believes that's why Allison was able to save her.

"She's our little mermaid and my little hero," Tracy said.

It's amazing what you can do when you have to!
