How about an Energy pod? What's a Energy Pod you ask? Well, it's an awesome little chair that you can nap in comfort and style, with the added bonus of privacy. These pods are getting installed in certain schools and offices, giving people a chance to catch up on some ZZs.
Edinburgh University installed some of these Energy Pods around campus after the students voted in favor of them. The research director who was part of the "think tank" that implemented them explained the university's position.
"The idea behind it is that sleep deprivation is one of the main causes of mental health problems. This is an initiative to tackle that problem, promoting the idea of napping and having students take around 40-minute breaks throughout the day to make sure their mental and physical well being is on top point." - Priyanka Radhakrishnan research director
There is a visor type piece that slides across so no one will even see you drool! It apparently has the ability to play relaxing music through the visor so you won't even hear the people around you while you take your power nap.
The company wants to see these Energy Pods in schools and businesses. Sleep is important to mental health, so by giving people the ability to recharge, productivity will increase!
